Journey to the north: langkawi

Assalamualaikum...

Setelah berapa lama merancang di musim exam, alhamdulilah tercapai juga rancangan kami berjalan ke utara. For this five days, we went to langkawi, perlis, penang and back to kedah, our journey is not complete actually because we haven't the chance to include Perak as one of our destination, but its ok.

Right after MCQ paper, I went back to hostel, packed up . later that night, we took bus to Perlis…it takes about 10 hours, never been in bus that long. About 9am we’re in Aflah’s place, cleaned ourselves up, have our breakfast, thanks to Aflah’s parents and then at 11am, we headed to the jetty Kuala Perlis. We took 11.30 am ferry and reached there minutes before Zohor. Can u believe it? Yesterday we just have our EBE in Kuantan and now we’re in Langkawi for good…hehe

The ferry is not so good, Aflah said that next time we should use LADA service, much better, she said. Along the journey, the only person that would take most pic is Mas for her seminar next block. Next thing is we had to find a car to rent, some problem occur, but then alhamdulilah the incident got us a better car at cheaper price, well we spend less than RM150 for new avanza for 27 hours plus the petrol. So, next time when you want to rent a car, make sure that it got the permit or u’ll be in trouble.

Our check in time is 3.30pm so we’ve some time to test drive and pusing2 area Kuah for lunch and solat. Thanks to Farah’s GPS, help our journey a lot. We stayed in Rumah Mara(I tell u ma, its include 3 bedrooms,a kitchen, a living room and a dining area) at Plaza Langkawi only for RM50 cheap kan2?

· Mahsuri tomb

Mahsuri tomb is the first place we headed that day. The fee is Rm 5. What you can see here? Macam biasa, all tinggalan, but the best I would say is main air telaga. I think everybody is cleared enough about its history after explained in the Hb seminar…^_^

· Beras terbakar

After taking pictures around the place, the house I mean, then I realize that it got nothing to do with the Beras Terbakar. It is just a coincidence that the owner of the land, also own the historical land. That what the mak cik of the stall nearby told us. What was happen is that during the war between Siam and Langkawi at Selat Pancur,Dato Kemboja thought that Langkawi will lose so he ask all the villagers to dig a hole and burned the collected padi so that the Siamese won’t get able to hold of the padi.

Pantai chenang

I’m not so sure it is the picture of Pantai Chenang or Pantai Kok,the sand is so white(compared to the beach at the back of my house)

· Cable car in oriental village

At first, we thought that we are at the wrong place because it stated there oriental village, not cable car or anything to do with it. The ticket is RM30, but with mycard or student card u get RM 15 and we got discount from renting the car, so RM14.

The view is amazing and at the village I got the chance to feed the rabbits and deers…*happy2

· Telaga tujuh waterfall

From the cable car, we can see the waterfall that form the seven well…fyi, the well is not the one that well built as such telaga Mahsuri, it is actually form as the waterfall hit the rock at different levels and form the lekuk. The route is so steep, so we just climb the stairs to the lowest waterfall. Btw, u ‘ve to pay for the parking, RM2.

Langkawi landmark

For the first time in my life, i let the snake crawl around my neck, not so bad actually, try it urself!

·Shopping

Better to stay in Bandar Kuah, because the popular shops is around there,Aflah once said that u can see that ladies who come back from Langkawi, with them must be green(of Haji Ismail) or blue(of Idaman Suri) plastics. I bought nothing except for choc that ive never seen in regular shops.

· Book village

Guess what? It does not exist anymore, I asked the mak cik at the stall about it, she said that there used to be many kiosks there selling books and also book rent service, but maybe the promotion is not so good or most of the book is ot returned back.

· Nusantara- the making of gamat oil

As known to everyone, Langkawi is rich with its gamat resource, so Kilang Gamat is one of the must go place. I told u , beli minyak gamat at makam mahsuri is much cheaper than any other gamat stall.
